I drank cow milk accident I bad reactionFallingstar postedI've been vegan for a while now. It was inside my coffee, I did ask for soy but later on I realised it was cow milk. My face flushed and I ran to the toilet, I had awful toilet problems and my stomach was a little sore. I also felt like I wanted to spuk!, does this mean that cow milk really do contain bad chemicals? I still feel a bit sick. Thanksxxx additional---------------------- What I should of said I realised it ''straight away'' after one sip it was cow milk, so I kept drinking it (silly but I felt bad my mum bought me a coffee I didnt wanna waste money) then I felt awfuly sick, I never get sick like this drinking soy Sponsored Link-------------------------- Vegan4life repliedThere is a chance you are lactose intolerant. And i am gonna have some fun tonight owning the troll. Vegan4life(Cough cough Maggie M.) Yes lits of people drink Milk. it is also possible to grow in and out of being lactose intolerant. Talk to your doctor about it and see what he thinks. it is possible that by thinking about where it came from it grossed you out so much that you wanted to puke. megamom repliedsome people who do not eat or drink dairy for a long period of time can actually make themselves lactose intolerant. that was probably your problem. Lax4life repliedSounds like it was probably a psychological reaction to it. If it was due to toxins your reaction would have probably been more immediate but since you only got sick when you figured out that it was milk it was probably psychological. Probably not lactose intolerance either. Edit: Now that i know it was later on i think it was either 1) lactose intolerance 2) your body wasn't used to it. When i first tasted tea i felt sick to my stomach after several sips but now i love it. Your body just isn't used to but it has nothing to do with chemicals. Renee P repliedSounds like a psychological reaction to me. I've tasted cows milk by accident once in my coffee, I spit it out quick, what a horrid taste. Just! Some? *Dude* repliedWell, let's see.....you realised it was cow's milk, your face flushed and you ran to the toilet. Sounds like you freaked yourself out. Had you not "realised" it was cow's milk who knows what would have happened. Many human adults are lactose intolerant which could cause stomach discomfort, but the way you described the incident makes one wonder. EDIT: A lttle late to change your story from "later on" to "after one sip". Call. margarita repliedIt's probably psychological. Millions of people drink cow's milk every day without adverse effects. wahoo10001 repliedYour reaction was probably psychosomatic. asher2789 repliedlactose intolerance is what it sounds like. the longer you go without milk products, most importantly milk itself, the more prone you are to get sick from it. lactose is a naturally occuring chemical in cow milk by the way - im pretty sure its even in human milk, probably goat milk too.. if i were you id stay away from any dairy, which seems like you already do being vegan. because if you dont, you will continue to get sick for a while, maybe forever. answerer repliedIt's probably lactose intolerance. Here's an interesting page about that with an answer from a geneticist at Stanford University. http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?... Lexi repliedYour prob lactose intolerant but since you only reacted that way after you found out it was cows milk, you may be an extreme vegan who brought on some psycho-sematic physical "illness" just because the thought of cows milk disgusts you. It's either a real physiacl reaction or just something in your head. happy trails soy girl! :) Flutter Bot repliedIf you've ever drank cow milk before, then this reaction is probably caused by knowing it was cows milk. How did you feel before you knew it was cow's milk? This could help figure out if it was psychosomatic or not. I usually feel ill when I found out something I ate contained meat in it. Like cookies or candies. I never drink cow's milk, but eat cheese. I've never had any problems with dairy. Are you lactose intolerant? That could also be a reason why you got sick. Jawariya K repliedDont drink cow milk or stop drinking coffee or dont trust the one who made coffee!!! Vegan4Life repliedAs others have said, it's possible you made yourself intolerant to lactose by not eating any for a long time period. I would tend to think it's more mental than anything. Drinking milk does not cause you to throwup and your stomach to hurt. Billions of people around the world drink milk and they are not constantly throwing up.
