Keri Beri repliedI think you would like the University Expansion Pack. I have had a lot of fun playing it. Your sim can live in a Dorm or in a house. You can join a Greek House, too. There are secret societies on each lot, and becoming friends with three members will cause a limo to come and take your handcuffed Sim away to join the secret society .
Your Sim can streak (lol), entertain other sims, and do the school cheer. Your Sim can earn money by working in the cafeteria, tutoring other Sims, and earn tips by playing in a band. They can also hustle other Sims for money with a pool table.
There's the Sports or Toga Party & Graduation Party- all are pretty cool. There are also new social reactions for your Sims. Your Sim can even win a scholarship or hack grades on a computer.
I think the University Expansion is the best so far.... and it's reasonably priced.
I agree with the answer above that stated Open For Business Expansion is lengthy and a little disappointing to the Sims Fan.

Cardinal_Therapy repliedok so I have ALL the expansion packs, and to be honest I couldn;t choose one! But there are two types of game expansion packs - actual expansion packs, and Stuff packs. My favourite Stuff pack would be either H&M where you can build H&M stores in the town and it comes with loads of cool clothes, or the Kitchen and Bathroom Stuff pack, which has loads of stylish interior stuff.

As for Expansion packs, I'd recommend getting University, as it has some cool musical instruments and it's just got fun stuff in it; I'm not sure if your Sims has it yet, but the game changes so you have an extra age category to send the kids to university, they become young adults. It's cool, and its my favourite expansion pack. The Open for Business one is a little complicated and too much effort!

Sims2Player repliedUniversity is definitely a good one and very fun. It does come with a lot of new items and also new hair and clothing styles too. But, if you do add it, you will still need to put the disk you always use into your computer to play your game even after you install University. A lot of people who bought The Sims 2 Deluxe OR The Sims 2 Double Deluxe get really confused by this, so I'm just trying to let you know in advance. The reason why you still play with the disk you do now is because University was the very first expansion pack that EA released. Nightlife was the second one. EA requires that you always play by putting in the disk that has their LATEST released game that you have installed on your computer into it to play your game.

So, if you do buy and install University, after it's all installed, just delete the new icon that it puts on your desktop and then put your normal disk in and click on the icon you have been clicking on to play your game. When you get into a neighborhood, you should now see a new icon on the top left side of the screen that you can click on to add a University neighborhood. Like when you added a Downtown neighborhood to your game.
