Why human beings feel pain emotionally posted
Sponsored Link-------------------------- wazat repliedBecause we know we can change our circumstances . We can problem solve. Most creatures have no choice but to accept the things life throws at them. We have options , and problem solving skills. This requires us to "process" each situation , this causes anxiety , with that comes the emotions. Apathetic people have given up , they accept things , for better or worse , they don't try...so they don't get emotional. noway repliedWell, other animals and species are able to feel the same pain, too, they just might not feel the emotion as strong as humans do. It's just an instinct of ours. Since the beginning of our time we have always bonded and when someone died then man used to grieve. This was and is still because they know/knew them so well. To contradict this theory, sometimes people actually may grieve much less in other parts of the world due to their religion. In India, Hindus believe that when a person dies (if they were a good person) than they would be reincarnated into a being of the higher social class. In this religion death can sometimes be felt like a celebration instead of a grievance. But, this is only for those who are good in life, so if one was bad and died either hatred towards the person or sorrow would be felt because if you are awful and complain in your life, than you will move down a social class or go to the untouchables. These people are reincarnated into animals and can be beaten and have the worst lives of all, the Hindus believe. ANYWAYS... feeling pain emotionally is normally just because of the sense of lose. I know this is a lot to take in but I hope it helps with your very interesting question! . repliedthere is no god i need a new name. repliedI don't know why God did that, but I'd like to think it is so we know how to treat other people. Or how not to. Larry repliedWe think, therefore we suffer. That may seem simplistic, but it is the source of our emotional pain and our joy too. We can imagine how things should be to make us happy, or how things we have done, or not done, could have changed our lives for the better. Our wish to have the world the way we want it to be, our regrets, our desires, and our ability to imagine a future where things are as we would have them is the source of our emotional pain, and our joy. Unfortunately, you cannot have one without the other. That is, you must be able to experience emotional pain if you wish to feel joy or happiness. I suppose the trick in life is to concentrate on those things which make us happy, and let go of the regrets and disappointments of the past. Personally, I have found it very difficult to forgive myself for my mistakes. It is something with which I will struggle all of my life; something we must learn if we are to be happy: forgive yourself, and learn from your mistakes. After all, we are only human. Finally, I have found it a comfort to realize that what might have been is not necessarily what would have been. May the coming year be one which brings you, and all of us, more joy than suffering, and may we all learn and grow from our misfortunes, and cherish those things we have all the more knowing that they are transitory. stephaniemassacree repliedOther creatures, not just humans, can feel emotional pain. Roy M repliedIt is a way to know what is good and not good. it is like touching hot objects, it tell you not to because you can damage your skin.
