The Masters golf tournament is a big deal there too. It is the 2nd oldest city in GA and with a population of 197,372 the 2nd largest. Average Jan. temp 58 degrees, average July temp 92 degrees, Service industries and call centers are growing.Manufacturing is declining. Average wage a a hit over $22 an hour but like most averages that is derived from wages that are both much higher and much lower. There are a lot of medical specialists there, What you might expect to earn would be based on your skills and experience. Wages for sales and office jobs are around $12.50 an hour and for production work around $17. Average household income in 2007 $36,500. Average home sale price for 2008 $156,594.
