Now isn't that just the person you want to protect endangered species, water supplies and all life. Marcia repliedThe "problem" with the bible and most religious/philosophical texts is that they ask the reader to do some interpretation. This allows the text to applicable through time. But, it also allows us to read into the words what we want to. It seems that over use of resources and over population with respect to the readily available resources is not limited to the Judeo-Christan based cultures. Within recent history, India has a bit of a resource use and allocation problem as does China. A number of African countries and cultures are at war with each other over what boils down to resource depletion, allocation, and distribution. I'm sure that these folks have religious and/or philosophical support that is not Judeo-Christan based for their actions too. evolving mind repliedyes, i believe it. the greedy banksters, merchants and those who beat the drum for "growth and progress" are fooling most people. the undesirable consequences are sqealched by the corporate mainstream media. it is all about the bottomless pit of greed and craving for "honor" and fame for business. too many people who are duped to labour for the ruling class for trinkets we do not need. naive working class people are easily manipulated by "trinkets" and propaganda. oikos repliedThe Judeo-Christian bible also has the concept of stewardship and what may be the first game laws. It depends on which passages you want to cherry-pick.
