I actually use a detergent that you do not buy at the grocery store. It is called "Our" and is made by a company in Mansfield, OHio. You do not need to use a fabric softener with this detergent. I have been using it for over 2 years and really like it. The company will ship it to your location. I buy it by the case which is 6 bottles and it lasts me close to 6 months for a family of 4. It is great for people who are sensitive to detergents also.

use the leading brand because that will clean the clothes properly and get out in grained dirt and will make a very nice smell.

its a tad more expensive but well worth it.

Aus> Omo or Radiant

hope this helps but try different types and see what works best for you. powder works best in proper washes with warm washes whereas liquid is betteer for cold washes or oily stains . powder could leave residue
