The new pink repliedRon Paul may have been the best chance the Republicans had at 2008, but I doubt he stands a chance again.

They blew it because they weren't sure he was marketable, and while there is always talk about 'realigning' back to the conservative side for Republicans - the truth is that they are more concerned with garnishing the liberal Republican and moderate/conservative democrats and independs to actually roll the dice on him.

I do not agree with some of his viewpoints, and I certainly wouldn't vote for him because of our difference in the vision for America- but I respect him for his steadfast stand beside the constitution, his opposition to the war, his voice for privacy rights of Americans.
