What physical properties blackness complete darkness encompass I space completely devoidMiss Susan aka squacked off postedany form of light or light emitting energy? Does total blackness as in space require energy to be? Not necessairly a black hole but say outer darkness where light does not shine at all.? Can this statement be true:light overcomes the dark but dark does not overcome the light? What could this mean?

Ge 1:2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. The only thing that came to mind when i was reading Genesis 1:1-3, it was "white light ink is written on a dark black paper". And darkness means devoid of anything, including energy. well then, yes, light overcomes the dark but dark does not overcome light, because if light could exist in darkness, that mean light is stronger entity. Just like a writing upon a paper, the paper is overcome by the writing because the ink able to do it. mickey_lindsay repliedYou're talking about a void. The "blackness" you refer to is the absence of light, energy or matter and as such, according to modern science has no physical properties by definition. In the words of the bard, "peace, mercurio, thou speakst of nothing".... (!) DEVASTATHOR repliedYes,the complete darkness means a space WITHOUT ANY FORM OF ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY (radio waves, microwaves, thermal light, visible light, ultraviolet light,x-ray,gamma ray ,cosmic ray). therefore darkness : No energy for to be The light NOT overcomes the dark and viceversa, are in an equal plane. For to know a system,We need an element of comparison : We can know the "true" because We can know "the false","the light" because it is the opposite from the darkness, the heat because different from the cold etc. but, for the own existence, an element requires the other... BeachBum repliedJeez what a buncha b.s. If you don't ask a good question you won't get a good answer. GIGO. Who told you there was "total blackness as in space"? Energy, in the form of light and other emf radiation pervades space. What is "outer darkness where light does not shine at all?" Can the statement about light/dark be true? Yes or No, depending on context. The text, taken as a whole, sounds vaguely pseudo-religious, so to my way of thinking, it's not worth addressing. donkeyeyes repliedas far as I know they have been working on this for at least l0yrs. so your not the only one in the dark. All energy comes out of darkness including gravity and quarks. Let me know when you get it figured out.
