[Lyrical Brainiac™] [Dane] postedI play trumpet and this is my third year playing it in band and I wanted to see if anyone had any advice on these things:

1. How to keep air from escaping when playing. I notice I sometimes when I play that air escapes from the side of my mouth. How can I or what can I do to stop this?

2. Help on getting higher notes. I've been trying to get third octave E but I have been able only get up to the high D. Any advice on how to get higher notes?


Also I'm looking for a solo to perform something pretty interesting to play, something Jazzy, and smooth. If you can think of something I would be interested in I would be thankful.
